24 Year

On 26th July 2023, India is observing the 24th Kargil Vijay Diwas. It has been twenty-four years since the major Indo-Pak war ended. The Kargil War was a prominent military conflict between India and Pakistan, lasting for two months.

Tiger hill

The capture of Tiger Hill signaled India's victory in the short but sharp war between India and Pakistan over the icy heights of Kargil. It came at the end of a three-month-long battle that was initially marred by utter confusion.

Na Chhonnu

Captain Manoj's last words were - 'Na Chhonnu' ('Don't leave him' in Nepali language). Captain Manoj's martyrdom did not go in vain. It was because of him that Indian soldiers captured Khalubar.

Paramveer Chakra

For his exceptional bravery and leadership, Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra , India's highest military honor, in 1999. He was the first army personnel from the Kargil War to receive this prestigious award.
