Jaipur Pink Panthers won the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 Final against a hard-fighting Puneri Paltan by a score of 33-29 to win their second PKL championship. After Patna, Jaipur Pink Panthers, the league’s first-ever winners, are currently only the second team to win multiple titles. The tournament was played across Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad while the playoffs were played in Mumbai. Jaipur Pink Panthers team is currently led by Sunil Kumar Malik and coached by Sanjeev Baliyan. The team is owned by Abhishek Bachchan.

Argentina won FIFA World Cup 2022

The winner of the FIFA World Cup 2022 has been decided today. Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties to win FIFA World Cup 2022 title. Kylian Mbappe from France was the top goal scorer in FIFA World Cup 2022, he scored 7 goals. France forward Kylian Mbappe became the first footballer to score a hat-trick in a FIFA World Cup final since the 1966 edition when England's Geoff Hurst netted a hat-trick against West Germany. Mbappe scored in the 80th, 81st and 118th minutes to net a hat-trick against Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final.

This event has begun on 20 November 2022 and ended on 18 December 2022.  A total of 32 teams are participating in this tournament. The stage is set to witness the exhilarating performance of luminous stars. A fight between 32 teams to secure a place in the FIFA World Cup winners List through a total of 64 matches. The first semifinal match was played between Croatia and Argentina and Argentina won this match by 3-0. The second semi-final match was played between France and Morocco and France won this match by 2-0. The match for third place was played between Croatia and Morocc. Argentina won the Final Title defeated France by 4-2 in penalty shootout.

FIFA World Cup 2018 Winner- France

The last FIFA World Cup 2018 was won by France. This was the second FIFA World Cup for France, They won the final, defeating Croatia by 4-2 at Moscow’s Luznikhi Stadium in Russia. Luka Modric of Croatia received the Golden Ball as FIFA’s best player of the tournament, and Antoine Griezmann from France was voted the game’s MVP in FIFA World Cup 2018. With this, France became the 2nd time FIFA football world cup winner. The 2018 FIFA world cup was hosted by Russia. Kylian Mbappe from France won the FIFA World Cup 2018 Young Player of the tournament award. 

FIFA World Cup 2014 Winner- Germany

Germany won the FIFA World Cup 2014. The final match was played between Germany and Argentina. With this, Germany ended their World Cup drought of 24 years. Germany won the final match with a 1-0 win over Argentina in the final which went to extra time with Mario Goetze netting the all-important winner at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Paul Pogba won the FIFA World Cup 2014 Young Player of the tournament award. This was the 4th FIFA world cup title for Germany.

FIFA World Cup 2010 Winner- Spain 

FIFA World Cup 2010 was hosted by South Africa. Spain won the FIFA Football World Cup in 2010 and defeated the Netherlands by 1-0. This was the first FIFA football title for Spain and Netherlands missed their first FIFA world cup title. 

FIFA World Cup 2006 Winner- Italy

In FIFA World Cup 2006, Italy beat France 5-3 on penalties in the final in Berlin after the two sides were level at 1-1 at the end of 90-minute regulation time as well 30-minute extra time. FIFA World Cup 2006 was held in Germany. The final will be remembered for the infamous Zinedine Zidane's head-butt on Matteo Materazzi which resulted in the French star being given the marching orders. It was Italy's fourth overall.

The DataSmart Cities Initiative is a key step in creating a robust data ecosystem that enables evidence-based decision-making in cities.

What is DataSmart Cities Initiative?

• The DataSmart Cities Initiative is a key step in creating a robust data ecosystem that enables evidence-based decision-making in cities. It aims to harness the power of data for better governance in India’s 100 Smart Cities.
• Digital India Awards presents an opportunity to bring to the fore digital initiatives being adopted to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. It is a prestigious National competition that seeks to encourage and honour innovative digital solutions by government entities in realising the Digital India vision.
• The program has institutionalised a Data Ecosystem in cities through 100 City Data Offices and more than 50 Data Policies.
• The Smart Cities Open Data Portal has transformed from zero to all 100 Smart Cities now publishing open datasets and contributing to data blogs and visualizations, leading to 1.2+ lakh downloads and 6 lakh views.
• This initiative has led to generation of more than 180 innovative, scalable, and replicable use cases in collaboration with various stakeholders that are being utilized by cities for better functioning and citizen engagement vis.

Abigail Kinoiki Kekaulike Kawānanakoa, a Hawaiian princess whose lineage included the royal family that once ruled the islands and an Irish businessman who became one of Hawaii’s largest landowners, passed away at the age of 96 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on 23rd April 1926 in Honolulu, Oahu, Territory of Hawaii.

Her great­grandfather, James Campbell, an Irish businessman who owned a sugar plantation, was the source of her enormous wealth, which was kept in trust and is estimated to be worth USD 215 million (175 million in a pound). Iolani Palace, the royal residence of the rulers of the Kingdom of Hawaii, is the only royal residence in the United States of America. She was a symbol of Hawaiian national identity that endured after the kingdom was overthrown by American businessmen in 1893.
